Ceramics Statement, 10/19 Jessica Phrogus
My dialogue comes from past experiences, as a way to process experiences today, combining historical baggage with current life. I use bisque ware, porcelain, stoneware, high fire, lowfire, crystalline glazes and all sorts of decorative mish-mash to fashion today from yesterday. Vase shapswere made by Dayton Grant. My goal is to play with the same vessel which has historically told stories, which I leaf into our new histories.
